Enabled by HEROS like you, the YOUTH DAY 2021 FestCast reaches homes around the World!

YOUTH DAY Global was created in 2006 by Founder, Tylaine Duggan to address what has been deemed “A warranted special day for Youth to showcase their positive achievements”.

She used the Arts as a place for self-expression, and most affordable as everyone can sing or dance in their living room… History has taught us that The Arts will always bring us together.

The live Stages have hosted some 40,000 visitors each Summer in Toronto, Canada, and in 2015, YD expanded to Montego Bay, Jamaica. Since 2020, it adapted for COVID-19 by reaching people conveniently online; in their homes while isolating; and now Artists could be seen around the World!

YOUTH DAY is a time for our aspiring Young Artists to SHINE on a new digital Platform for their special day!

ARTISTS in MUSIC – DANCE – ART – PHOTOGRAPHY – FASHION & FILM

Our aspiring young participants are chosen from thousands that apply each year in February through our youthdayglobal.com website. Industry Judges select those up to 29 years old, and that have clearly found and excelled in their talent… Enjoy as we applaud, engage and encourage their positive achievements, and provide them a digital Stage to showcase their passion!

LEADERS from Government – Community – and notable Health Authorities

Familiar faces from those in power, provide direction and information to clarify and identify youth-related subjects and updates of progress in ever-changing times.

SPEAKERS offering keen insight

Throughout life, we learn… Speakers at varying phases can bring clarity from sharing experiences and offer assistance in forming conclusions to help propel our next steps. They come with shared real life events; and most importantly, show us how others have dealt with issues as we are not alone.

SPECIAL are those who’s voice can influence…

In an online World, Celebrities and those we admire lend their time to show they are real people too… They too have challenges, they too can relate to struggles, inequalities or pain. Their influential words, provide a reality point that can comfort and inspire when in need.

OUR LONG & MEMORABLE HISTORY

YOUTH DAY is a Free annual Creative Arts Festival held at Yonge-Dundas Square in downtown Toronto, showcasing the positive achievements of aspiring artists in Music, Dance, Art, Photography, Fashion and Film. The Event attracts over 40,000 people to the Square and the vibrant YD Market on the major Yonge Street closure. Uniquely the Event features around 100 Act changes with some 500 young people showcasing their talent on outdoor Stages; Art and Photography in the YD Gallery; creative design in live Fashion Exhibits; and is powered entirely by like-minded dedicated Volunteers.

YOUTH DAY is supported from the Prime Minister of Canada to the Chief of Police and has become an Official “Event of Municipal Significance for the City of Toronto”. Media deem it “The Largest Youth Festival of Its Kind”. Now in its second decade, YOUTH DAY has hosted more than 250,000 visitors since its inception.

The 12-hour non-stop Celebration is free for both the public and participants, and is exclusively enabled through Corporate Champion brands such as yourself. Celebrities from Recording Artists to Industry Professionals, Motivational Speakers, Community Leaders and influential Sports Figures also lend their time to support our next generation.

There is something for everyone at YOUTH DAY, from all genres of Music, to myriad styles of Dance including surprise Flash Dances and Cultural representations. Additionally our Yonge Street closure hosts the popular YD Street Market, accommodating almost 200+ delicious Food Stands, Artisan Vendors, Product Activations and Community Exhibitors stationed from Dundas south to Queen Street along the span of the CF Eaton Centre shopping landmark.

YOUTH DAY Toronto is promoted and covered by both mainstream, local and specialized Media; by Tourism; in schools, Colleges and Universities; Libraries; supporting Government Departments, City branches such as Toronto Police Service, Toronto Fire Services and Crime Stoppers; Community Organizations, and extensively on-line through Social Media platforms.

The overwhelming success of YOUTH DAY Global has not only provided a free platform for young people and Mentors alike to entertain us all with their abilities, it also provides ample opportunity for positive community engagements. Year after year many returning participants describe the anticipated Summer Festival as – “YOUTH DAY is not just a day; it is life changing for the experience and connections it creates.”

INVOLVE YOUR BRAND TOO!

A spectacular, unprecedented Showcase of Variety featuring some 100 Act changes on outdoor Stages, performing non-stop back to back. Our Canadian Mentor recording Artists, Motivational Speakers and Sports Celebrities also lend their time to applaud and acknowledge our Youth’s accomplishments and hard work.

Enabled by Corporate Champions, this special day is endorsed from the Prime Minister to all levels of City Departments, Community Leaders – and has been deemed by the Media as “truly commendable”: A chance for everyone to make a difference and engage our next generation…
